S.B. Ballard was awarded the P 218V, Ship Maintenance Engineering Facility Modernization at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, Virginia.  This is the Seed Project for the Design Build/Design Bid Build Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) for new construction, renovations, alterations and repair projects for facilities in the Hampton Roads Area.

This project will consist of a 55,000 square foot addition to Building 1500 at Norfolk Naval Shipyard.  The addition will be 6 floors high with a pile supported foundation.  Additional surface parking is required to accommodate an additional 344 vehicles. 

P 218V is in the design phase with construction to start in 2009.

S.B. Ballard teamed with Michael Baker Jr. Inc on this project, who will serve as the Architect on this watches project as well as all projects from the MACC awarded to Ballard.  The following list of consultants will also be teamed with Ballard and Baker
