Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Reviews and analyzes SOQs, RFQs, RFPs etc; develops complete management and/or technical volume responses, outlines and organizes the approach for delivering a winning response
  • Work with Business Development and Marketing to manage the full life cycle of the proposal response process from analysis of RFP to final production and submission of proposals (to include printing/binding)
  • Writes complete technical and management proposals coordinating as necessary with business units, operational/current program personnel and centers of excellence

SharePoint Developer

To assist Enterprise Content Management (ECM) efforts in enhancing and modernizing enterprise SharePoint systems by performing the following tasks:

  • Assist in migration of on-premises hosted SharePoint 2013 intranet systems and content to Office365 cloud.
  • Assist in the migration of on-premises hosted SharePoint 2013 intranet/extranet systems and content to SharePoint 2016.
  • Assist with the expansion of Central functionality including support for localization, personalization, user classification, and internal line of business systems integration.

Revit/BIM Specialist– Virginia Beach, VA

  • Supports staff and project teams in model and content creation, ensuring correct data and data structure

Commercial Construction Project Manager Assistant – Harrisonburg, VA

Ballard Construction Company, The Premier General Contractor/Construction Manager servicing the Mid-Atlantic region, headquartered in Virginia Beach VA is seeking an experienced Project Manager Assistant to join our team for a project located in Harrisonburg, VA located at JMU. The Project Manager Assistant is responsible for assisting the Project Manager in driving the project to completion on-time, within budget, while providing an exceptional experience for our owners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for assisting Project Manager with full project ownership to include, but not limited to:

  • Coordinate all activities with the Project Manager and project team.

The Field Engineer's primary responsibility is providing engineering support at a project level

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist project management team with creation of project plan and schedule.

  • Monitor project activities and ensures that execution activities comply with established plan and schedule.
  • Provides engineering recommendations and guidance to both project management members and craft employees.

General Purpose

Responsible for the overall on site management of the CQC System

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • The QC Manager shall be responsible for the overall management of the CQC system.
  • Schedule and coordinate all sampling, testing, and inspection of work.
  • Maintain complete and current records of material and equipment submittals.
  • Perform the Three Phases of Control to assure conformance of materials, installation and workmanship with the Contract documents.
  • Gather, coordinate and prepare to submit final project closeout documents including but not be limited to: Operation and Maintenance (O&M) manuals, Installed Property data, Transfer Property data, User Training records, Final Test Log and Final Test Reports, Final Inspection Reports, Final Submittal Register, Warranties, Warranty Tags, Warranty Management Plan, and other closeout data/documents listed in the specifications

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the overall supervision of Material Technicians, Special Inspection Consultants and Test Lab services.

Quality Control Manager- FT. Belvoir, VA

Belvoir area.  This position will lead all the on-site activities required throughout the construction process to successfully deliver a project on time and within budget.

General Purpose

Responsible for the overall on site management of the CQC System

  • The QC Manager shall be responsible for the overall management of the CQC system.

  • Coordinate implementation of the final project budget with the Project Manager.
  • Co-conduct a Subcontractor pre-construction meeting with the Project Manager to review all SBBCC and project-specific requirements.
  • Co-conduct regular Subcontractor coordination meetings with the Project Manager.
  • Prepare and distribute all necessary project administrative documents including, but not limited to: daily reports, 3-week look ahead schedule, incident reports, safety inspection reports, material delivery tickets, investigation reports, etc.
  • Identify and resolve all on-site project-specific issues in conjunction with the Project Manager and escalate the necessary issues up to the appropriate person.
  • Implement and enforce all required SBBCC on-site Quality Control procedures.
  • Implement and enforce all required SBBCC on-site Safety procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field position or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-7 years of industry experience, preferably in general contracting.
  • Fosters a strong desire to learn, welcomes a new challenge, and values the need to collaborate with all team members.
  • Previous experience leading a job-site team preferred.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of commercial construction means and methods, application of LEED certifications, and a thorough understanding of industry practices.
