S.B. Ballard is pleased to share that our very own, Lloyd “TJ” Thomas, has been nominated as the 2018 DBIA Hampton Roads President. TJ’s leadership and success is nothing new to those at SBBCC; however, it is an honor such as this that will allow him to put those qualities on display for others.  Everyone at SBBCC is proud of TJ and looks forward to a new year with exciting things on the horizon.

TJ’s project experience ranges from the Virginia Beach Westin, which continues to be the tallest building along the east coast from Charlotte, NC to Philadelphia, PA.  in 2011, Tj began to specialize in the K-12 Education Sector.  He was involved in the Kellam High School Project for the City of Virginia Beach (selected as one of the "Top 5 New Educational Facilities in the World" by the Association for Learning Environments) and most recently, he served as the Design-Build Manager for 5 new schools for the City of Norfolk. TJ has been an active board member with the DBIA-HR for the last year and is also an active member of the AGC, the U.S. Green Building Council, and the Norfolk Education Foundation.

TJ holds a BS degree from Va. Tech, a MS degree in Construction Management from Drexel University, and has over 17 years in the construction field.
