S.B. Ballard Construction Company, a leading General Contractor/Construction Manager servicing the Mid-Atlantic region, headquartered in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking an experienced Property Maintenance Manager to join our Team. The Property Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day reparative and preventative maintenance for two locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Property Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day reparative and preventative maintenance for two locations.
- Adept at using hand tools and power tools to repair and install as needed.
- Managing/overseeing any contracted work on both properties.
- Duties will vary based on the needs of the owner.
- Prioritize work to restore and sustain house operations and simultaneously managing multiple repairs.
- Keeping both properties clean and neat at all times.
- Making sure that windows are cleaned.
- Apply bug repellant around pool and property on a bi-weekly basis.
- Clean turf yard 2-3 times per week.
- During summertime, make sure all outside equipment/ furniture is out and clean.
- On a monthly basis make sure that all filters in both properties are replaced.
- Miscellaneous errands at the request of Mr. Ballard.
- Maintaining vehicles, making sure vehicles are cleaned.
- Responsible for trash removal, landscaping, and other services at both locations.
- Do daily walk-arounds the exterior of properties to ensure everything is clean and working properly.
- On occasion meet with vendors for various maintenance.
- Other duties assigned.
Physical Demands
- The Property Maintenance Manager is frequently required to stand, walk, and use their hands for extended periods of time.
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, crouch or crawl.
- Frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
