This project consisted of a 104,833 SF, 10-story hotel with 153 guest rooms and a 64,890 SF, 165-car precast concrete parking garage between Atlantic Avenue and the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. The Hampton Inn Virginia Beach-Oceanfront South hotel is located directly on the famed Virginia Beach boardwalk and offers all direct oceanfront rooms with balconies.
S.B. Ballard self-performed the concrete, rough carpentry, and surveying layout portions for this project.
This was the first hotel at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront with a basement. It contains vending, ice machines, linen and general storage, laundry facility, housekeeping, lounge areas, lobby, check-in counter, retail, restaurant, pool, restrooms, administrative areas, training and conference rooms, storage rooms, receiving area for deliveries, communications system, telephone system, and LAN.
This project provided a concrete walkway for access to the Virginia Beach Boardwalk, lighting for the walkway and landscaping around the entire project.
