December 7,2021 marked a momentous occasion for the City of Portsmouth and the 757 as a whole, SBBCC and our joint venture partner, Yates Construction, joined Rush Street Gaming, LLC to officially break ground on the Rivers Casino in Portsmouth, Virginia.
The first of many milestone celebrations for Rivers Casino Portsmouth – the groundbreaking ceremony was the culmination of many years of investment and effort in a truly collaborative process. Rivers Casino Portsmouth will anchor the city’s new Entertainment District, revitalizing a vacant 50-acre site on Victory Boulevard.
Representing partnership in the truest form: the event included some reminiscing about the years of effort and the dedication of those who have helped turn planning into progress. And, most importantly, showcased the tremendous amount of support behind the project and its future.
This project will provide significant opportunities for the local community and the broader region. At completion, the new gaming and entertainment complex will feature a casino, BetRivers Sportsbook, premier restaurants, a live entertainment lounge, hotel, and event center.
